rely on telephone calls, faxes and emails to communicate
among the company’s three manufacturing plants. Countless
hours were being spent on the phone or sifting through extensive

e-business suite, which ran effectively on Valco’s
existing Novell NetWare system. In a very short time, Valco’s
employees were able to access files simultaneously, automatically
updating the core Oracle database when changes were made,
to ensure everyone was working with the same data.
The Results:

all plant functions. And, because plant information is available
in real-time, one person can manage the purchasing process
for all three sites. By totally eliminating repetitive tasks,
processing time was slashed by 30%.
